Winter Wonderland!

Wow! We got an unexpected snowfall in Tennessee. We were only supposed to get some flurries and we got more snow that we did all last year. Which for those of you who don't leave in Tennessee that is not very much. We only got a little over an inch, but the kids love it. Maybe we will get a few snow falls this year.

Oh what fun!

Well, it's that wonderful time of the year. Time to take Christmas card pictures. You would think it would get easier the older your kids get. I guess it doesn't, because this year was harder than ever. It was horrible and ended in crying from several of us. Here is a nice example of some of the horrible pictures. You will see when you get your Christmas card that I just gave up and used a picture that was taken of us all at the beach this summer and I thru in a few Christmas pictures at the bottom. Hope you all had better luck with your cards than me.

Basketball Time

Caleb making a shot.
Waiting for the other team to come down the court.

Getting ready to start the game.

Clapping at the end of the game because they won 10-9

Caleb at his first basketball game.
Caleb had his first basketball game today. It was a lot of fun to watch. He did a really good job. They only have six minute quarters and shoot at a eight foot goal. Most of them are lost, but it is really fun and they are learning a lot. He has eight more games, so I will try to post some better pictures. These are not very good. My camera doesn't zoom.

I've been tagged!

I've been tagged and there is no one left for me to tag. Here are my pictures. I have two sets of pictures one set is when Caleb was a baby and the other set is after having Silas and I couldn't leave him out so I posted pictures from both sets.

This is a few days after bringing Silas home. Can you belive Silas is now Caleb's age in this picture. Wow! It sure is hard to believe my boys are getting so big.
This is a picture of Caleb when he was three months old. What a butterball he already weighed 24 pounds.

Happy Turkey Day!

Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving. We ate lots of turkey and still have one more place to go to tomorrow. We also got a new unexpected addition to our family. A dog named Olive. Well, I got her for my grandpa. His dog died this summer and all he has talked about was how much he has missed him. I got on craigslist and found Olive for him. I told him all about her and he said he wanted her. Well, after four days he decided he didn't want to take care of a dog. She is so sweet and now I have a new dog. We really don't need two dogs, but I have become kind of attached.

pilgrims & indians

Indians, Pilgrims, Mayflowers, and tepees
Caleb's indian and tepee

Caleb's kindergarten class dressed as pilgrims and indians.

Indian Caleb
Caleb's class had their Thanksgiving Feast today at school. They were all either dressed as pilgrims or indians. They made their own outfits and headbands. They also made an indian village and Mayflower boats. I have been really impressed with what they have made so far this year in kindergarten. Caleb is having a ball in class, thanks to his teacher Mrs. Smith.

My little spooks
We had a great Halloween this year. The kids got lots of candy. Silas fell asleep about half way thru the neighborhood. Silas won the costume contest in the neighborhood in his age group. He was a big hit as the Joker.

Cheeta Fest!

We went to Caleb's schools Cheetah Fest Friday night. He had fun with our neighbor Kayla. She is such a good neighbor. Cheetah Fest is mostly just a bunch of lame games that the kids win candy for playing, a few jump houses, and a big silent auction. It was a mad house and I get to go to it for five more years (Yeah!). The kids have fun, but I think they could have done a better job with the games. Most of them sucked. The silent auction was cool. They had tons of stuff and most of it went really cheap. It was kind of like a live e-bay. I won a CMT basket. It had the Broken Bridges movie, a cool CMT t-shirt, and a CMT jacket. I got it for $27. If I would have been paying more attention I could have gotten some more cool stuff free. I guess I can try again next year.

Spirit Week (Go Cheetahs!)

Crazy Day (Sky and Caleb in their crazy outfits)
Funky Feet Day (Caleb's money shoes)
P.J. Day (I didn't have to dress him this morning)
Crazy Hat Day ( Caleb's circus hat)
Spirit Day (Caleb in his Cheetah fest outfit)

This week Caleb's school had spirt week leading up to the big Fall festival (Cheetah Fest). These are some pictures of how he dressed each day. Cheetah Fest is tonight and I will post some pictures tomorrow from it. It is going to be crazy, but it should be fun.

Kindergarten 101!

Caleb and Silas.
Getting ready to walk to school.
Caleb in his class with his new classmates.
Getting ready to walk home after his first day.
Caleb walking home with our neighbor Blakely.

Caleb had his first day of kindergarten today. Wow! Doesn't time fly. He loved it. His teacher's name is Mrs. Smith. He only went half a day today and then he starts full time on Monday. Their are three kids on our street starting kindergarten and none of them got the same teacher. I think that's a good thing. It is really nice that the school is right behind our house, so we just walked. I think I will walk him in the mornings and let him ride the bus in the afternoons, because Silas will be napping in the afternoons. Caleb also has said that he really wants to ride the bus. I'm so excited and sad at the same time that he is growing up to be such a big boy.
